Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
The primary goals of the Employee Assistance Program are to help employees live healthier, more fulfilling lives and to strengthen their health and productivity in the workplace. It is designed to assist employees with personal or family problems (such as substance abuse, parenting or caregiving problems, or financial pressures) and work-related issues (such as problems interacting with co-workers).
HMAA’s medical plan benefits include up to 6 fully-covered visits per calendar year for employees. The services available include:
- Employee counseling with trained professionals
- Supervisor consultations to discuss options for addressing employee productivity issues
- Group educational or counseling sessions for companies or employee teams regarding workplace violence, illnesses, transitions, or performance issues
- Orientations to learn more about the program and its accessibility
