HMAA has partnered with HI Now to present our “Mommy Moments” series, which airs Mondays at 7 am on the local TV show Hawaii News Now: Sunrise on KGMB and KFVE throughout April and May 2021. Mommy Moments presents various topics parents will enjoy, including tips for expectant and new moms. Watch our latest segments:
Stress Relief
Stress relief techniques can help parents and keiki navigate emotional wellness. HMAA members have access to mental and behavioral health services – including consultations for stress, anxiety, and other issues – through our free telemedicine service, HiDoc.
Boost Your Immunity
Every part of your body, including your immune system, functions better when protected from environmental assaults and pathogens. Bolster your body’s natural defenses with dietary and lifestyle strategies.
Secondary Infertility
Difficulty conceiving after previously having a child is called secondary fertility, which is as common as primary infertility. Medical treatments for those seeking help getting pregnant again are tailored to the patient’s diagnosis, and many services are covered by health insurance.
Coping with Baby Loss
The emotional struggle of a miscarriage or baby loss can be overwhelming. HMAA members have access to mental and behavioral health services, as well as medical consultations, through our free telemedicine service, HiDoc.
Project Power for Keiki
The American Diabetes Association’s free, at-home Project Power program aims to educate, engage, and connect keiki through a fun afterschool experience. It provides physical activity challenges and nutrition education to help kids make healthy lifestyle choices.
Fitness Programs
Fitness is important during every stage of parenthood. FIT4MOM Windward Kailua and FIT4MOM Ewa Beach offer special discounts on their fitness programs to HMAA members through our Member Plus Discount Program.
Mom & Baby Support
Our free maternity program, Baby & Me, is available to HMAA members who will receive great support and incentives along the way. It’s important for partners to give moms and babies needed support as well.
Gestational Diabetes
Gestational diabetes affects pregnant women and can put their babies at risk for other complications. It can be treated and controlled with help from resources including the American Diabetes Association, healthcare providers, or your health plan.
